Description

Legal Aid of East Tennessee's mission is to ensure equal justice for the elderly, abused and low-income by providing a wide range of civil legal assistance and advocacy.

LAET provides civil legal services ranging from information and advice to complex litigation and appeal advocacy to low-income people.

LAET has special programs for seniors and victims of domestic violence that, due to permissions from funding sources, can be provided to individuals whose income and/or assets exceed the restrictions of most of its services. LAET also funds and staffs pro bono projects that recruit, support and utilize volunteer attorneys and other professionals to enable us to expand services.
