Disability Legal Services of Indiana, Inc (DLSI) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation offering free and low cost legal services to children and adults with disabilities in Indiana. DLSI was formed in response to a concern over the lack of affordable legal representation for adults and children with disabilities in Indiana, particularly in the area of education law.DLSIs primary area of service is the representation of children and adults with disabilities in educational matters. DLSI may also represent children and adults with disabilities in the related areas of probate and disability law compliance. Please contact our office to discuss eligibility and cost for services. All clients must complete an intake form to determine eligibility for services. Please note: We are unable to answer legal questions online or over the telephone.Generally, if a client has an annual income at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines, DLSI legal services are free. However, clients with annual household income at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines will be given priority for services. If your annual income is above 150% of the federal poverty guidelines, you will be charged an hourly fee for DLSIs legal services. The hourly fee will vary depending upon your income level. Additionally, you may have to pay a portion of the expenses associated with representation including filing fees, if applicable, and other charges.
