Description

Colorado Legal Services is a nonprofit organization that has been helping low-income and senior citizens in the state of Colorado for over 90 years.

The mission of Colorado Legal Services is to provide meaningful access to high quality civilian legal services in the pursuit of justice for as many low-income people and members of vulnerable populations throughout Colorado as possible.

When you contact them, they will ask you questions to help them find out if they can help you.

Questions will focus on your income, your assets and your legal problem.

You do not have to pay for the help you receive from CLS if you meet certain income limits.

CLS will review your wages and assets (including bank accounts, etc.) to determine if you are eligible for the program's assistance.

They also look at the type of legal problem you have and whether or not they have the resources available to help you.

Some, but not all CLS offices can help seniors over 60 years of age, regardless of income, but only if the individual problem falls within the CLS priorities and the office has the means to provide this assistance in the time needed.
